The pattern depicts the head of a bear. The bear has turned his head towards the viewer. The bear’s mouth is open, so you can see it’s teeth.
Bears are carnivoran mammals. They are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans. Although only 8 species of bears are still in existence, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere.
