Dogfight Pattern
This pattern depicts a dogfight between an allied and German fighter plane. Dogfighting first occurred in Mexico in 1913, shortly after the invention of the airplane. It has been a component in every major war since then. In the pattern the German fighter has been hit and is trailing smoke.
