The pattern depicts a closeup of a dragonfly. In the background are some water plants. Adult dragonflies are characterized by large, multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with colored patches. The dragonfly’s body is symmetrical. I like the look that the symmetry creates.
Dragonflies are predators and fast, agile fliers. Historically dragonflies are represented on artifacts such as pottery, rock paintings and statues.
