Macaws are long-tailed, often colorful, New World parrots. The idea with the pattern is to paint the puzzle pieces to reflect the colorful nature of Macaw.
Proportionately larger beaks, long tails, and relatively bare, light-colored, facial patch areas distinguish macaws from other parrots.
The pattern includes a perch for the Macaw to sit on. The perch can be hung to display the project.
